There's a lot to think about when it comes to prepping for show season.
Show clothes.
Hotels.
Packing lists.
Family and pet arrangements.
The list goes on and on.... But there is one thing you can do now in preparation and that is join the horse show organizations that put on these shows. This is a requirement for many shows. They are annual. Especially if this is not your FIRST year showing. We try to enter classes that do not require these the first year to help cut costs, but now that you are seasoned it is no longer an option. The alternative if you do not join (exception is regionals/nationals) is that each show will charge you non member fees...trust me those add up! It is WAY cheaper to just join, plus each organization does have some fun little perks
First up is the United States Equestrian Association, they are the governing body of all things horse show!
If you plan on showing Dressage this will be a necessity, The United States Dressage Federation.
Lastly, is the Arabian Horse Association, this will be a requirement for any Regionals and Nationals
