Jill Scottston

Owner/ Trainer/Instructor

"Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined"

~Henry David Thoreau

Jill Scottston has known her life is with horses for as long as she can remember! As a young child, she started showing Western Pleasure and quickly moved into the Eventing and Hunter/Jumper world. Jill was instructing and competitively showing Dressage and Jumpers when she discovered her love of training horses.

Jill started her professional career in 2000, at the age of 16. Since then, both her training horses and students have had many great accomplishments in diverse disciplines such as Hunter Pleasure, Equitation, Showmanship, Saddle Seat, Sport Horse, Dressage, and Western Pleasure.

Her true passion is Hunt Seat Equitation. Jill says, “I love the mechanics of a great ride.” She spends countless hours helping horse and rider become competitive, whether it is to a schooling show or to Nationals. “I want everyone to be able to fit into a program that works for them and their families.”

Jill has the rare ability to work with riders of all interests and many disciplines. From riders who simply love their horse and have no interest in showing, to those who have never competed before and would like to try for the first time, to those who have dreams of competing at the highest levels. She can design a program for you.

Another of Jill’s talents is matching riders to their dream horses. She works with each client by setting goals, determining criteria, and a budget; she takes great pride in finding “just the right horse” for her students.
